"I have to many tools to keep my car in the garage."

I have one word. ORGANIZE!

There are many options in getting your stuff together. I am always a proponent of a tool bench. You will then have space for hand tools (hammers, screw drivers, wrenches) on a pegboard and then below the workspace you have room to store the large stuff (pressure washer, shop vac, compressor). Above the pegboard you can have shelves to house the medium tools (circular saw, drills, air tools).

Then you have all those tools in an area that takes up about 2-3 feet from the wall. They are in one place, so you always go to one place for those. Shelving is an option. A three or for tier shelf can free up tons of bulky storage items in the garage.

Lets say that you have a work bench that is 3 feet deep and 7 feet long and a shelf system that is about the same dimensions. That is about 147 square feet of storage space that is in a space of 42 square feet of floor space. That is a huge savings, considering that the normal minivan takes up about 32 square feet (8' x4'). What are you going to do with the extra 67 square feet of space? Another car, a larger project, more tools (yeah!), or a couch and TV.

Just a few options.
