It’s true that providing an irresistible offer in your full color flyers or postcard marketing to your clients and prospects with the objective of introducing new products or service is an effective way of getting them to try out your proposal. But often, an offer or a bonus becomes bland and uninteresting when used continuously. In fact, the offer loses its appeal if you don’t issue a limited time offer.

That’s right. If you want your postcard marketing promo for example to be successful, integrate a limited time offer to get existing clients to try it out.

It can either be a discounted price or an initial free service for one month; or it could also be a one time payment; whatever your offer, the key is to get your loyal customers and potential clients to move their feet to avail of your introductory benefit. Limited time offers indeed can encourage current client base, as well as potential ones to test or even switch to your kind of service.

So how do you offer time limits? Why do you need to have an expiration date for your special offer?

For one thing, a limited time offer is “only as good as its limits”, as one marketer would suggest. If you mark your prices so low that you’d probably not get

any profit from it anymore, it provides you with an image of a discount store. However, with the right expiration date, you can turn your promotional marketing strategy to help you keep your customers and get new ones especially during off-peak season.

Secondly, a limited time offer draws in profits because people are always attracted to new products and services, especially those that would help enhance the item that they’re already using. The drawback however, is that customers would surely try you out – but only for a few times. This is especially true if you’re making it appear to be less costly than your competitive neighbor.

Third, limited time offers provide your business with the opportunity to launch your business and introduce a new concept. One very popular marketing method for instant sales is to get people to join or become a member for free – for a certain period of time of course.

“For a limited time only.” Sounds familiar? This phrase has been used many times to create that fever of urgency amongst clients and customers and make them want to avail of the offer as soon as possible.

Will it work? No one wants to miss out on a great deal. So go figure.
