Color brochures may be one of the most versatile items in your marketing arsenal. They are attractive, portable, and inexpensive, but perhaps their greatest advantage is that they are easily customized to take advantage of any opportunity that presents itself. When you attend a trade show or conference, you can come equipped with brochures designed specially for the event and take advantage of the common interest that is bringing the attendees together. You might even be able to generate business by offering a conference only discount to those that attend, if anyone picks one up and reads it. And with these ABCs you can increase your chance of that happening.

Aggressively eradicate clutter from your cover
Before anyone reads your business brochures, they will be attracted to your cover. Its only purpose is to get consumers interested enough to look inside. Give it an attention grabbing title and let the rest of it clearly demonstrate how beneficial your products or services are. Anything else is clutter. No matter how important you think it is, even if it is your company's name and address or logo, keep it off your cover! You have plenty of room to tell them all about who you are inside, but you need to get them inside first.

Build your message into your captions and headings
Nothing intimidates

like a solid wall of text so you want to make sure to break up you text with plenty of white space. However, you can do one better, by capitalizing on your readers' natural attraction to your graphics and your headings. A caption must accompany every picture and those captions should do more than just explain what's in the pictures; they, as well as every heading, should actively promote the benefits of your products and services.

Clearly call your readers to action
You designed color brochures to attract potential customers and to persuade them to give you their business. Don't leave them wondering what to do next, tell them explicitly to send in the back panel to get more information, to call 437-9248 to schedule a demonstration, or call 1-800-544-3828 to place an order. Whatever you want them to do with the information you've provided, tell them!

Don't settle for an inferior product
Whatever means you choose to use, whether you do it yourself or send it out to be handled, make sure your brochure printing looks as professional as it possibly can. People everywhere judge what they cannot see based on what they can and you want to leave them with the impression that your company is as professional as your literature.
