Southern California-area beauty school, Salon Success Academies, to launch new course called 'Nuts and Bolts' that focuses on helping students thrive after graduation by giving them the tools and the confidence to succeed. The program, created through the Nuts and Bolts ProGrow Teaching System, will be offered as part of the core cosmetology curriculum starting in July 2008.

Upland, CA (PRWEB) April 2008 -- Southern California-area beauty school, Salon Success Academies (SSA), is scheduled to launch a new course, called 'Nuts and Bolts,' that focuses on helping students succeed after graduation, in addition to while they're enrolled. The program, created through the 'Nuts and Bolts ProGrow Teaching System', will be offered as part of the core cosmetology curriculum starting in late July 2008. The personal and business development program has been developed specifically for cosmetology students.

'Nuts and Bolts' will spotlight four books: 'The Complete Retail Experience,' 'How to Build Your Business.' 'Embracing Change,' and 'The Customer Wow!'. These four books, representing the cornerstone of the program, will not only help students refine their technique, but will help to strengthen the commitment they made when enrolling in beauty school by giving them the tools and confidence to succeed after completing their cosmetology program.

Select instructors at SSA completed special training and testing in early March to be qualified to teach the Nuts and Bolts curriculum.

COMPONENTS OF NUTS AND BOLTS
'The Complete Retail Experience' takes the student through the importance of 'legendary customer service', how the retail industry is critical to the economic health of the U.S., and how aggressive selling is now considered a dinosaur.

'How to Build Your Business' discusses seven daily habits that will help lead students to personal and business growth, the importance of analyzing client profiles and the essential role of the 'front desk.'

'Embracing Change' explores overcoming fear of change in the school environment, and ultimately, in the workplace; then, how to use change to their advantage in building their business.

'The Customer Wow!' helps students learn to develop business planning strategies using exceptional customer service as a catalyst for customer loyalty, generating new clients and obtaining client referrals.

ABOUT SALON SUCCESS ACADEMIES
Salon Success Academies has five campuses located in California's Inland Empires: Redlands, Fontana, Upland, San Bernardino, and Corona. SSA's philosophy is to treat each student as a part of the family, providing them with every opportunity to complete their studies at the lowest cost possible. SSA combines hands-on practical application with cosmetology, skin care, or nail technology concepts. The school partners with the beauty industry to enable students to graduate with technical excellence in their profession as well as strong customer service skills.
