The best advice comes from the experts. That may or may not be the case but that is the opinion of the general public. If you are great at what you do, you should be promoting that fact to the rest of the world.
The very best way to do that is to write your own how-to articles. Articles can make your reputation on the Internet. If you Google my name, Dennis Morales Francis, you will see several references on the very first page. The power of article marketing is such that you should learn how to write them as soon as you can.
Imagine (I don't have to it happens to me often) getting a call from a reporter half way around the country wanting to get your opinion about something in your field? The secret power of article marketing is in its ability to not only multiply links to your website from all over the Web, but to build a steady reference library of material you have contributed to the Internet.
Most people who do not write for a living think that they have to create the next War and Peace. The truth is that the average Internet article is less than a page in length. Your objective is to convey useful information to your audience and impress them enough that they are prompted to go to your website.
You will however, need to be consistent in your submission. Do not believe that you can produce one article and sit back to reap the rewards. Some article marketers have written thousands of articles and still keep going because they are seeing the results. They get thousands of visitors a month to their websites.
Here is an interesting piece of news for you; many e-zines are now getting more readership than newspapers. There are specialty e-zines that are hungry for new content in their specific market niche. This is where you will become a big fish in a small pond.
This is my strategy for successful article marketing.
First, Google your subject, find out what your niche is worth. Let us say that your subject; say, basket weaving results in 480,000 searches a month. You now have an opportunity to construct your message to a good market.
1. Start with problem. Define the common issues that your customers face. If you need help, send out a survey or invite your customers to go to your website to fill out a survey on their most pressing problems. Do this often anyway; that's how you help your customers to succeed.

2. Envision the worst-case scenario of that problem. To really drive the problem home, you need to get as negative as you can to empathize with your reader.

3. Google the keywords that relate to your worst-case scenario. You want to see what results are already available for your main problem.

4. Start with your title. I usually take the greatest problem or the answer to the problem and create a “teaser” for the article. The purpose of the headline is to grab their attention.

5. Break your article into four sections:
a. The Setup – Introduce your subject and lay out the problem you wish to solve. Let the reader understand that you are aware of their problems.

b. The Problem defined – Get into more detail about the problem and perhaps a few examples of the situation surrounding the problem.

c. The Solution – Go through a simple systematic solution to the problem or a series of remedies to the problem. Offer advice on the topic without getting too technical (unless your target audience is extremely experienced in the technical aspects of the situation.), or you might lose their interest.

d. The wrap up – Summarize your solution and wrap up your article. Remind the reader why this solution will work for them.
Once your article is concluded, check the end of your article for a "resource box." This resource box is usually not part of your article. It is attached separately with your submission. Be sure to include a blurb of the benefits of visiting your website. Briefly tell the reader why you are good at what you do. End with your website address and a free offer to visit the site.
Here are a few conventions to adopt in writing your articles that will help you get started.
Keep your sentences and paragraphs short.
Make your articles around 400 to 700 words long.
Keep the article on message and to the point.
Submit your articles to many e-zines and article sites to get your articles out on the web. The value of the Internet is in the connections you can make and the number of people who will benefit from your expertise. Once you have a great number of articles on the Internet, you will join a select group of experts who experience a huge increase in visitors to their websites.
