There is much in the media these days about the billionaire Donald Trump, especially since the hit TV show The Apprentice became one of the most popular reality TV shows in history. After watching another episode the other day, I got to wondering. Would “The Donald” like me? It’s hard to say because I’ll most likely never meet Mr. Trump and even if I do, it’s not likely that he will have the opportunity to get to know me. Here’s why I doubt he would like me.

For starters, I’m not a billionaire. Even worse, I’m not a millionaire and to be honest, I’m not even close. Mr. Trump appears to be the type of guy who likes wealth and power so I’m down a point even before I say a pleasant "hello”. In my defense, if I could send one message to ”The Donald”, I am a great guy and I try to turn every opportunity into a success.

Secondly, Mr. Trump may question my drive. Don’t get me wrong, I know I’ve worked hard to get where I am today even if it’s not on the same level as 5th Avenue New York. I just haven’t taken it to the next level. I’m sure the issue is that The Apprentice doesn’t even consider Canadian citizens. Otherwise, Bill Rancic may have had a run for his money if you know what I mean. How many of The Apprentice candidates are sitting at home on a Friday night like me writing articles so their business will get some much needed attention? I doubt even one based on the people I’ve seen on the show. They probably think that just by being on the show they will have nothing to worry about for the rest of lives. Maybe they should ask Omerosa about how her time on The Surreal Life is going.

Finally, I tend to be a more quiet and reserved type of personality than you usually see on the show. I would rather prove my worth with my actions than with the boardroom bicker that goes on each time an episode airs. If only these contestants put as much effort into their tasks at hand than the big boardroom brawl, they might not find themselves in the boardroom to begin with. My style just doesn’t match the Trump Organization and that’s okay. I wouldn’t want to move away from where I live for the shot at something that might ruin my entire life. That being said, I do think that George and Carolyn are really nice people down inside and it would be a treat to chat with either about their business experiences.
