I have spoken about this topic before in previous postings. But, I wanted to take the time to once again revisit this topic as it is always changing and evolving. Since my website has evolved from the very first time I began to create it: vismedical.com I have found the biggest obstacle, outside of finding clients, is finding candidates to fill positions.

In the past I always had a saying "Find the Clients and the Candidates will come" That is sort of true, but it has evolved. Today's economy with a looming recession is causing a whirlwind of trouble. Although, the medical staffing industry seems to be inversely related to the general economy, in other words the medical staffing industry will probably be inundated with new applicants wanting to enter the medical field.

Why? Well, many people are starting to realize that downsizing is looming and security is often found in the medical staffing industry. This is great for our industry because that means we will soon have lots more candidates to choose from.

But, in the meantime you need a place to begin posting your need to find candidates. If you are starting out and most of you are, then using a reliable and cost effective advertising vehicle that actually will deliver is critical. There are many job posting sites, but most are general and non specific and they charge. Take a look at this site that offers free posting to the staffing industry at http://vismedical.jobthread.com/

The reason I created this site well, basically most of you kept asking me to do it, so I did it. OK, I don't know how long it will be free, I may decide to keep it free for 6 months or 2 years, I don't know, but for know it is free and you are welcome to use it.
