Many of Ohio’s downtown areas are in need of upgrading as folks pack up and move to the suburbs. Many downtown revitalization projects are currently going on there. Competition for sales tax, real estate, middle-income housing and quality of life is a power struggle, urban flight has been growing in Cincinnati and we do not see that stopping, but the expansion in the suburbs is very strong indeed.

The National news about the city has not been good either as they blew out of proportion urban area clashes of racism and ethnic diversity issues. And of course the blowing up of their stadium too. On the South side of Dayton the suburbs are growing middle class and the area is without widespread crime. Downtown at night in Dayton, we cannot say the same thing as we see some drug deals going down in broad moonlight. In this letter we see all the problems discussed so far in our summation have been taken under consideration;

Across the nation we see Urban Flight and suburban life competing for the business investment. Many cities like those in pro-active Ohio are working on the problem and are well on their way to solving these issues. Downtown revitalization and economic rebound are needed to prevent crime, drugs and decay of once vibrant economic downtown powerhouses. Think about it.
