ur unpaid sales team. They can do things and go to places you would not imagine. They last for years and act as a perfect icebreakers when meeting people. The business card makes a highly effective billboard for your business. they promote your identity, and they solidify your brand. If you created a home-based business, your card becomes even more important. As you spread these marketing seeds around, you will find that the more you give, the more you will get in return. Make a habit of placing your business card in all your envelopes before mailing.

Your cards represent your company's identity. They act as the first line of defense of your branding strategy. When your card gets around to prospects, it should do three essential things; it should identify your business, it should tell people what your company does, and it should point to your contact information. Many people don't realize that business cards make a great off-line promotional tool for their on-line company.

Your card should contain:
your business name -
your name and title -
your company logo -
your address (If you accept clients at your place of business) -
your phone numbers -

Remember these business card basics:
Apply your creativity to your business cards, but don't go overboard (unless it's appropriate to the job).
Keep the look and feel in character with your business identity.

When designing your card, think first about the impression you wish to make on your prospective clients. Your card must attract the people who you will want will comprise your customer base.
The type of business card that says “creative tattoo artist” must differentiate itself from the business card that says “certified public accountant.”

Get the best paper for your budget. People hand me business cards that looks like they printed them on toilet paper, using their home computer. Remember that it's all about image; the card becomes your symbol. That's what they will keep to remember you by.

Try these business building strategies with your next batch of business cards:
Make your card more memorable.
Design your card for maximum impact. Hire a designer, a good designer.
Make your card more useful.
Print a coupon offer for your product or service on the back.
Make your card more valuable.
If your card offers an invitation or other gift idea, the prospect might keep it for future use.
Make your card more sticky.
You might try the magnetic business card or other specialty cards.
Make sure that you give them away often.
They only work when you give them away. Do it; do it often.

You will want to place your “Unique Slogan” or a list of services on your card because people won't remember exactly what you do if your business card doesn't tell them. If you want a sure-fire way to make a prospect remember you and your company, write something pertaining to your conversation on your card while chatting. The prospect will want to read it when they take it from you. Your prospect will tend to remember the event by the notes on your card.

Remember; if you buy 500 business cards, get ready to buy more in a few months. They'll do nothing for your business if you leave them in the office. Make those little pieces of paper work hard; get them out to the public. Who knows, some of those little 2inch by 3 and a half inch pieces of paper might make you a millionaire.
Good luck to you.
