I remember as a kid being forced by my mom to take a teaspoon of Cod Liver Oil a couple of times a week - more if I was feeling ill. I'm sure it made me feel worse...it certainly tasted like it was doing me more harm than good! So, are there any real health benefits in taking Omega-3 fish oil?
Doctors certainly think so. Extensive research seems to show that there are many health benefits in taking Omega 3 including:
Better Eyesight
Improved Circulation
Better Skin Quality
Improved Joint Mobility
Better Concentration
Some studies on hyperactive children seemed to show a marked
improvement when the children were given an omega 3 supplement daily - not only in concentration and behaivor, but also in improved academic performance.
One thing's for sure. It's a lot easier taking a lemon flavored capsule than the ordeal of that dreaded teaspoon of my childhood! If you suffer from conditions such as; Arthritis, Alzheimer's, Gout, Eczema, Chilblains or even just a heavy cold, it may help you to give Omega-3 supplements a try.
