Friends, especially boyfriends and girlfriends, fight. It is natural. It doesn’t necessarily mean that there is a problem with the relationship, it means that there is a disagreement. However, it can cause you to get upset and bring you down. There are a few tricks that can prevent that. But before we get to that point, there are a few things that you need to do or not do as the case may be. Firstly, don’t let any fights bring you too low. Fights are not inherently bad, they can, in fact, strengthen a relationship. However, do not say or do things after a fight that you might later regret. It is very easy to end a relationship because of a fight, but that is a mistake. Decisions

should not be made while angry.

To deal with the fight, take a few breaths. It might be useful to take a short walk or drive. Get out of the house, find something to take your mind off of what happened. It is natural to feel upset after the fight, to feel like you are sinking lower in your depression. The worst thing to do is to decide that this is your mood. You will rebound. Fights, and the causes thereof, are temporary. It is likely that you will feel like things are getting worse, but they are not. In order to keep your mood high, do not let yourself read too much into what a fight means.
