Gas And Food Prices, Health And Wealth, What Are You Doing?
by Scott Johnson
The Census Bureau's annual report on income and poverty shows that the weakening economy has affected everybody, regardless of race, region or class. Daniel H. Weinberg, chief of income and poverty statistics at the Census Bureau, said the recession that began in March 2001 had reduced the earnings of millions of Americans. The federal government defined the poverty level as $15,577 for a family of three in 2005. Currently the poverty level is $20,650 for a family of four. I do believe and think you would agree that the current poverty calculating system is flawed.
The report also suggested that the gap between rich and poor continues to grow. All regions experienced a decline in household income. "The decline is widespread," Mr. Weinberg said. With its usual caution, the Census Bureau said the data did not conclusively show a year-to-year increase in income inequality. But the numbers showed a clear trend in that direction over the last 15 years.
The costs of gas, food and the changes in the US companies employee lay off rates are at all time highs. Many people are resorting to public transportation, which is also seeing an increase in rising costs for use. Top economists and business professionals are recommending so many different strategies it makes ones head spin. Stock up on food by buying bulk, put in a garden, do your own vehicle maintenance, walk, ride a bicycle more or join a car pool. Change your diet to try to stay healthier, cutting down on doctor's visits. Gain extra income by obtaining another job or start a business with minimal investment. All of these are making more sense today than ever before.
The question is, "what do we do"? Tightening the household budget can only go so far before actually losing grasp of the finances. Home based business start ups are increasing at a staggering rate, adding a few extra dollars per month to the household income. Many families and individuals are working two or even three jobs, attempting to save their homes from foreclosure and stay away from bankruptcy.
When looking at the publicly traded stocks for US companies, the most stable companies are using network marketing systems. The marketing system puts the manufacturers' products directly in the hands of the people, allowing the people to determine their income based upon their individual and group efforts.
Looking at the stock exchange, EXLR8 (BZI) is a company that shows great potential; their stock has showed steady growth and a promising stability. The company manufactures health products and has introduced a network marketing system and a product called BAZI recently. I have found that currently over 400 athletes purchase and use this product regularly. For instance, John Elway, former Denver Broncos quarterback, is not a paid endorser of the product, however, uses the product daily. When asked why he uses BAZI, he stated, because it works in the balancing of his physical and mental conditioning.
More information about BAZI, the product, the publicly traded company EXLR8 (BZI), and the income potential as a distributor is available at http://www.drinkbazi.biz/bazi8 , one company worth looking at.
Fighting back against the rising costs, inadequate health and our ever lowering incomes and loss of available jobs, starts with each of us as individuals.
We need to make a change today, not next week. Do something different to get something better.
It is very evident that we cannot rely completely upon our elected politicians alone. Our economy depends upon our own actions, keep our companies and jobs right here in the US, increase the amount of quality American made products and services exported. Invest in our America today before it is "sold out" to other countries.
Many individuals, private activist groups, and government agencies want to keep the current method of calculating poverty out of fear of losing money. This only feeds the kind of cynical character heard in that famous Ronald Reagan statement: "We declared war on poverty, and poverty won."
The poor definitely deserves better.
