Laser Facial Resurfacing is the popular terminology for a procedure that is also known as laser facial hair removal, facial laser surgery, facial laser treatment, and laser facial rejuvenation.

Laser Facial Resurfacing utilizes a carbon dioxide laser to improve the surface and appearance of facial skin.

The laser is utilized to treat damaged skin and smooth away fine wrinkles around the eyes and mouth in addition to minimizing scars and irregularly pigmented skin.

Laser Facial Resurfacing procedure details

The length of the procedure varies, but typically takes anywhere from several minutes to 1 hour. Laser Facial Resurfacing may be more effective in more than 1 session.

Patients are typically given a general or local anesthesia with sedation.

Patients should see the post-procedure redness fade in 6 months or less. Individuals are advised to limit their exposure to the sun for 6-12 months.
