Do you have a friend who works at a hospital, I think we all have friends who have such jobs as healthcare is an extremely labor intensive industry. Well if you have friends who are nurses, staffers or doctors, they sure have some outrageous stories don’t they.
It is fun to have them at you BBQs or hang out and listen to them tell you all the stories, in fact it is one of the reasons why the shows like “Rampart,” “ER” and “Hospital” were such popular Television shows. But you might be surprised how many insane stories you wil get from your nurse and doctor friends and if you happen to have a friend who works in the Emergency Room, well they are by far the best of all.
One of our dear friends who we only get to talk to once in a blue moon as he is always working what seems to be triple shifts works in a major metro hospital and tells us of the gang shootings, stabbings and muggings. Of the illegal aliens who fly in from Europe and then go in for open heart surgeries, stay for a month and then leave and get back on the plane to go back to Europe. Then there are the funny
stories of people getting things like light bulbs stuck up their rear end which gives a whole new meeting to the saying, “Where the Sun don’t shine,” Yah right so let their be light-bulb? Once it broke off they could not even drive to the hospital much less sit down.
There was one story our friend told us of a man who got a Peanut Butter Jar stuck up his rectum, he was gay and apparently liked to do this sort of thing and unfortunately it got stuck and he needed the hospital to help him remove it. His good buddy drove him in and he was in significant pain. Turns out he claimed that he fell right on it and it got stuck there? Yah sure? And I am not one to judge, but that is ridiculous. As a matter of fact how could you even believe it, but my friend who told us this story was dead serious, true story. I just wish he had not told us the story during dinner that’s all. Think about your hospital friends as your next parties basic free entertainment.
