You will not make good in any game if you do not concentrate. Easily, your opponents snatch away the ball. To be a successful basketball player, rigorous training is needed. It is not an easy task, but it is your decision to be excellent in athletics.
You need a method to overcome compulsive behavior, and being focused to reach that goal. You have to be revitalized, determined, and focused. Goals must be realistic.
Your enemies must not hamper your resolve to overcome compulsion. You must be determined to face temptation. Concentrate on your resolve. Do not allow temptations to drift into your subconscious grab your resolve and chase them out, they will weaken your decisions. In the face of temptation, be firm. Be on the alert that you are being tempted, accept it but do not give in. When friends tempt you, be stubborn. Refuse to eat junk food and you will overcome. Applaud yourself when you succeed.
It is confidence to refuse that there is nothing more to do. Persistently refusing to do something has influence. It is outright refusal that makes decisions firm.
Being intent is to be fixed on something Be like an athlete ready for the battle. Be steadfast. Do not be preoccupied. Just as an archer aims for the bull's eye, he is intent to hit the target. After he has released his arrow, he rests and
prepares to fire again. The focus is exhausting. Be fixed. Emulate the athlete. Set the goal and become absorbed on it everyday, especially just before you eat or face temptation When it is done, be relaxed until the next target comes up. The mind can be very focused, and you will often find that it was all useless, without being aware until it's too late. This occurs to everyone. It can uplift you of your resolve to be on guard.
Resolute decisions end mental wars. Weak decisions are useless. There will be times you will compromise and feel you failed. Be firm. If you have decided to finish a bowl of food per meal, decide to feel hungry before eating. Stick to your decision! "I am not getting pushed around any more. Food is not my master. I am steadfast. I am determined. I am not giving in." These end the mental war.
You have made a resolve to succeed. Go over the reasons every day to reinforce the importance of your original decisions. As soon as you slacken in your decision, the war begins. Be firm with your decision for you to succeed.
Compulsion is a vicious cycle. Pain comes in, emotions stir to a storm: fear, insecurity, anxiety, feeling empty and deprived. These emotional upheavals will not exist if you are firm.
