Multi-level marketing (MLM), also known as Network Marketing is
a business distribution model where relationship referral and
direct selling are the means by which a parent multi-level
marketing company offer their products directly to consumers.
The idea is quite simple really; imagine you have a product to
sell. You could do what most businesses do: either sell it
directly to other consumers or find others who will buy your
product from you and sell it to other people. MLM schemes
require that you recruit people who will not only buy and sell
your product, but will also recruit people. This process is then
repeated. Can schemes like this that use MLM network marketing
really make anyone any money?
Sadly, I reveal the truth that, since MLM can no longer claim to
be new, the system has been tried and, for the most part, has
failed. Unfortunately, MLM is just not an effective way for the
average person to get rich.
If you are an MLM Distributor, then you are part of a group that
has an estimated 20,000,000 worldwide members. 20,000,000 people
chasing an impossible dream. Out of the 20,000,000 MLM
distributors around the world, there are LESS than 1,000 of them
generating exceptional amounts of money (in excess of $100,000)
each month.
Also, it is often difficult to determine legal and reputable
MLMs from illegal pyramid schemes, that sometimes try to present
themselves as legitimate MLM businesses. In April 2006, the
Federal Trade Commission (FTC) proposed a Business Opportunity
Rule intended to require all sellers of business opportunities,
including MLMs, to provide enough information to enable
prospective buyers to make an informed decision about their
probability of earning money.
It is imperative to make an informed decision when evaluating
any cash-generating program, so always consider whether or not
ALL of the information is presented to you BEFORE you get
