Treat that special scrapbooker in your life with these gift ideas:

Gift certificates.

Purchase a gift certificate to your friend’s favorite store – or, if your friend has a favorite line of direct sales goodies, ask her Consultant or Scrapbooking Instructor for a gift certificate. Some Instructors even keep wish lists for their clients.

Books!

We scrapbookers spend a lot on supplies, but it’s sometimes hard to justify purchasing scrapbooking design books and idea books. Yet books by the pros can really propel a scrapbooker to the next artistic level. Here are my personal favorite book buys of the year: A Designer’s Eye, by Ali Edwards. The Yes, it’s a Scrapbook Series by Donna Downey, Love Your Handwriting, by Heidi Swapp, and The Journaler’s Handbook, by Tracy White. Or send your scrapbooking friend a gift certificate to amazon.com and let her pick out her own books.

Magazines.

An annual subscription to a new scrapbooking magazine is a treat that will continue to inspire her creative genius all the year through. And magazines make great, inexpensive additions to gift baskets.

Film developing.

Whether it’s digital images or traditional film, you can find lots of great packages online at the film developing sites, such as snapfish.com and photoworks.com (If the scrapbooker on your list prefers to print the photos herself, she could always use more ink!)

Frames for her layouts.

As the scrapbooking industry booms, new products are designed that really showcase scrapbooking as an art form. Consider a gift of

pageframes, for example, in a variety of sizes. These are customizable and very affordable: http://www.scrapbookframe.com/

Supplies, supplies, supplies.

If your friend is just getting her feet wet, treat her to a basket with the essentials: a good 12x12 trimmer; journaling pen, basic adhesives, scissors, an album, and a basic sampling of cardstock, patterned paper and simple accents and embellishments. You might even throw in a copy of (or subscription to) Simple Scrapbooks or Creating Keepsakes and a set of Scraptutor DVDs, which provide excellent instruction on a variety of techniques, from the basic to the cutting-edge.

The more seasoned scrapbooker will enjoy a basket of new cutting-edge embellishments. What’s hot this year? Chipboard, rub-ons, fibers, and mini albums of all shapes and sizes.

Monthly Club Subscription.

As a subscriber, the favorite scrapbooker in your life will receive a treasure box each month filled with pre-coordinated, themed supplies. These monthly club kits are available in a variety of styles and themes – and in a variety of price ranges. There are even monthly scrapbooking club kits for kids.

The scrapbookers in our lives love nothing more than to give thoughtful gifts. Enjoy finding the perfect gift for her!
