The first ingredient is choosing the photo wisely. Pictures that have too much scenery and not enough focus on you and your family may mean a lot to you but for friends and family that may not have seen you in year’s, scenery often detract from the photo. Remember to show yourself close up and in focus even if signs of aging come through.
The second ingredient is Christmas cheer. Perhaps frame the photo red and green with a small picture of holly in each corner.
The third ingredient is the message. If you remember which Christmas cards you threw in the bin fastest last year they would have to be the ones that say to and from with no personal message. Your message needs to tell everyone what you have been doing for the past year. Two paragraphs with a fancy font explaining what you have achieved this year with the trials and triumphs will make it a memorable read.
The
final ingredient is to make it personal. Try and make your recipient feel like the Christmas card was especially for them even if everyone of your friends receives the same card. This can be done by using words such as "we look forward to catching up", "You have been a great support this year" "Thank You".
Now that you have got your photo your Christmas cheer and your message together, printing out hundreds of cards can seem daunting. Places such as your local print shop or even online websites that can post your card for you and do the card stuffing can be used such as Postit4u Printable Christmas Cards
Christmas cards are a great tradition and don't have to be commercial but with a bit of effort can be personal and sentimental, just add the right ingredients.
