They are offered in almost as many colors as incandescent light bulbs, and can even mimic sunlight.

Although you will initially pay a little bit more for a halogen lighting, it will certainly save you money long term. You will want consistency on wattage for all of the bulbs you buy. Make sure you know how much energy your outlet(s) produce. This will also affect the wattage of your bulbs.
