If your house has water, but you find that the outside water faucet doesn’t have any water, then you will want to check the spigot to ensure that it is working properly. Sometimes the problem can be caused simply from a build up of sediment on the valve stem. This can happen to your inside faucets as well. To determine if the problem is the result of sediment build up, you will need to clean the valve stem. You can do this by removing the stem from the faucet, and turning the water on. Water should come out of the spigot. If it doesn’t, try cleaning out the stem area, it is
possible that there is a build up of debris or sediment, blocking the flow of water. If after you remove the debris, you still don’t have any water flowing, then you should contact a plumber who can determine the nature of the problem for you.
In addition, you should also consider turning off the water to the home and flushing out the line. Also, make certain to check the hose bib and see if there is a shut off.
