They can be used for more than just leaves. I have used mine for so many things.
I opted for a gas powered one, over electric, because of the portability. I can run all
over the place and not have to worry about wires. They are a little louder and
smellier, but the portability our weighs everything.
Some uses I have found.
Sweeping out the garage. Just blow out the garage as you would the drive way. Fast,
simple and usually does better than a broom. It is also much more fun.
Clean out dryer vent - We have a long hose that runs from the back of the dryer to
the side of the house. It needed cleaning. I just brought the blower inside, moved
the dryer and stuck it in the vent. I just turned it on and ran it for a minute and put
the dryer back. I went outside to check what had happened. There were lint pieces
all over the yard that I had to pick up. Success.
Car dryer - After you finish washing your car and it it still wet, just blow off the
drips. This will help prevent the water spots.
Scaring my daughter - enough said, my wife might read this.
Cleaning out the inside of a vehicle - I had some mud, dog hair, and trash inside my
truck. Opened both doors and here we go. I was really impressed with the job that it
did. I will not say more effective than a vacum cleaner, but the fun factor is much,
much higher.
De-clumping the grass - if you are like me I usually wait too long to mow the grass.
After I get done there are the clumps of grass all over the place. Just blow the
clumps and dissipate them over the yard with the blower. Better than raking.
Smoke screen - James Bond any one. Just take a handful of baking flour and
sprinkle it into the fan part. Viola! Just do not use too much. Oh, I see your wheels
turning.
There are so many options. Just use your imagination, and make your life easier.
