(1) Label all boxes. Take home a list of labelled boxes for easy reference when you need to locate your goods.

(2) Use box numbers as codes, and write them on sides of boxes for essy viewing. Keep list at home for security purposes. Leave refrigerator and freezer doors ajar for ventiation and ensure they are fully defrosted. Place couches on end to end to save space. Please note: Do not place directly on cement floor, place on pallet or similar.

(3) Put heavy or bulky items into the unit first to provide a good stacking base. Fill containers to capacity. Partially full or bulging cartons may tip or collapse. Battery operated appliances/toys: Be sure to remove batteries to avoid acid leakage damage. Television sets, Videos, Stereos, and Computers

should be packed in boxes or wrapped in bubble wrap.

(4)Mirrors and paintings should be protected with bubble wrap and stored standing on edge, not flat Protect your fragile goods with packing. (ie: bubble wrap) and place them at the top of your storage space.

(5)Stack boxes of similar size to maximize space. Books should be packed flat and not on their spine.

(6)Always drain fuel from engines before storing. Where possible disassemble furniture items to save on space. Heavy items should be packed into small boxes so they are easy to lift. Do not place any heavy items on couches or matresses as they will suffer damage.

(7)Use all of the space including height. Place frequently used items near the door.
