Email Marketing article : Amazing? No - Flabbergasting!

Internet and Businesses Online > Email Marketing > Amazing? No - Flabbergasting!

For those of you reading right now that DO have a clue I can't possibly offend you since you'll automatically understand what I'm about to say.

For those that don't have a clue, and may never GET a clue, this just might hurt your feelings or go right over your head.

Doesn't anybody READ anymore?

Honestly, you've got to wonder don't you?! I receive hundreds and hundreds of ezine emails everyday and in each and every issue, clearly marked is the METHOD FOR UNSUBSCRIBING.

Yet still those definitely off in lala land do exactly what they are asked, no told, not to do to remove themselves.

It just amazes me!

In fact, I'm off on my rant for a reason *smile!*. I belong to an online program that sends subscribers my way, via a free advertising program. Granted, not everyone using this method to subscribe fully understands the magnitude of what they are applying to receive, though the owner of the program clearly and concisely states what the new subscriber is agreeing to... hmmmm...

Anyway... I've got these new incoming subscribers set up to NOT subscribe automatically. In fact, if you are a member of TheWizWorld MRC Newsletter, you know how tough I've made it to join - you have to visit the website to see if it's the newsletter for you before you agree to receive it. And if you order PAID advertising, even then I do not automatically subscribe you! You're given the choice, but I run your ad regardless.

So, the mailing that goes out to these free service users clearly states YOU HAVE NOT BEEN SUBSCRIBED and if you choose not to subscribe DO NOTHING.

The amazing part? Believe it or not, some STILL hit the reply button to unsubscribe themselves. They try to unsubscribe from something they are not even receiving! Amazing...

As I stated above, each and every ezine I receive comes with that QUICK and EASY way to remove yourself. That said, do it yourself!

Imagine how much less frustration you'll create for yourself and the publisher just by taking the initiative and handling your own removal yourself.

We are all adults here, and by now have learned the value of handling certain responsibilities. Cut your publisher some slack and pick up this tiny job of unsubscribing for yourself.

I have a saying (yes, another one!). Those of us who can need to look out for children and old people. I've now added publishers to that list.

Enjoy your ezines! Remember to say thank you to your publishers every now and then. And handle your own removal yourself.
