When you are working on your own subscription website each day, you at times, tend to ignore the obvious facts and conditions offered by your site.

Sometimes when we offer schemes and benefits that may not interest the subscribers or the potential customers much, the scheme may not take off to the desired levels. The reason may be that the customers are not very excited about what you are offering.

To uncover the obvious you need to analyze issues by asking yourself the following questions about your website:

1. What is the theme of my subscription website and what is it that the subscribers may most want to know at a given time?

2. If the information desired by the customers is of a high demand at that time then can you offer it to them as a premium or a free gift if they subscribed (afresh) or if they lengthened the existing period of their subscription(for existing subscribers)?

3. What will be the cost incurred for generating this premium? Buying Decisions that customers make

Most of the buying decisions that people make are for the benefits they perceive they will get, above all most buying decisions are also a result of the emotions factor. So as a subscription website owner you will have to excite the 'emotion 'element along with the benefit factor of the customer while making the marketing and promotion strategy for your website. Of course the logic need not be overlooked.

The premiums that you offer your subscribers should be cost effective, and the customers should be excited enough to be ready to subscribe to your site to get that benefit.

To make the obvious solution for additional subscriptions for your website

The ultimate aim of your subscription website is to increase revenues by increasing the number of subscribers. You can generate more ideas about what schemes and premiums to offer your existing and new subscribers by any or all of the following:

· Ask friends, business associates, and other publishers for their suggestions

· Read discussion groups regularly to understand the subscribers requirement

· Subscribe to a publishers' site to get more ideas

· Ask for a site critique or suggestions on possible premiums from a professional

You are sure to get some feedback from all these sources that you are trying to tap, but you will have to decide on any of the choices after careful evaluation. Remember to keep in mind that the subscribers will pay extra for any offer that you come up with on your site, provided they need that product at that time and your marketing messages have excited their emotions enough to make the buying decision.
