In 2005 we witnessed some major clean ups of water supplies around the world. We also discovered some horrific abuses in water supplies in many countries from pollution, which ended up in drinking and fresh water supplies. We heard reports and saw pictures of China allowing billions of gallons of untreated sewage to run into the ocean and in some cities millions of gallons ran into rivers, which led to the ocean. Some of those rivers had other water users down stream. We also saw China’s huge dam project flood entire valleys where there were bodies buried, sewage holes, outhouses and cesspools of animal and human waste.

In the United States we watched Lake Ponchartrain run into the city of New Orleans after the levee system broke loose and fill the city with fresh water, which then preceded to become one of the worst ecological disasters of that state. Additionally the water had to be pumped out full of bacteria, debris, floating dead animals, bodies, chemicals and human waste.

In 2006 we will see new nano technology techniques used in membranes to filter water. We will see underwater monitoring devices from Autonomous Submarine Type systems. We will see micro encapsulation timed released tablets to chemically treat the surrounding waters. We will see new innovative monitoring, testing and evaluation systems, along with new techniques of cleaning the water thru ionic, frequency, aeration and osmosis techniques. We will see all this and more. Entrepreneurs are finding new inexpensive ways to treat water and make it potable again. These techniques, procedures and technologies will travel to third world countries to help them as well over come there needs to reduce disease and improve survival and protect the young, the old and the sick. Think on this in 2006.
