A bracelet is a piece of jewellery that can be as simple as a string of leather or as complex as an incrusted metal and gem jewellery. It appears that the origin of the word “bracelet” comes from a Latin word and an old French word that would simply mean “of the arm”.
Like any other type of jewellery, the history of bracelets is very old.
