During the Holidays humans find comfort in being with another special person. It is even a more joyous time to be with a lover. Perhaps this is from our childhood being around those we love; family during this time of year? Whatever the reason people need love, especially around the holidays. The image of sitting by a fireplace or cuddling up and staying warm with your significant other is a physiological need of sorts and no other time of the year is this true than during the holidays.
There can be significant depression issues for those who are deprived of such during the Christmas Holidays and it is indeed one of the biggest times for suicide of the year. If you do not have a significant other for the holidays you may wish to look for someone else in need during this time, as there are others who maybe lonely too. Even the diehards are in need during this time. It is not a weakness, rather part of the society social engineering, advertising images and the time off of work and activities which leaves one lonely.
If you need a lover during the holidays you are not alone. In fact one of the number one peak seasons for income for online dating services in during the holidays, where hard charging people are forced to slow down a little bit to even notice that they are somewhat lonely. It might be best to understand where all these emotions are coming from even if you deny them the rest of the year. It is perfectly natural so do not worry about what you are feeling. Think on this.
