Well it appears the late season tropical storm is finally forming after several close calls and many tropical depressions. Tropical Storm Gamma is getting to look pretty fierce and soon it will become a Tropical Hurricane. Generally we get named storms into November, but generally they do not threaten the United States, however this has not been a normal Hurricane Season by any stretch of the imagination. No, this is has been a record-breaking season in 2005 and it will be a long time before these records are broken again. Three Category Five Hurricanes in one season. The most powerful Hurricane on record, the most Hurricanes in one season and the most named storms too.

For a season which started two-weeks early it is interesting that it could end two-weeks late meaning we might be well into December before all these storms stop this year. Hurricane Gamma although the chances are good it will not affect the United States, we are not out of the woods by any means, as weather patterns change and it is all about timing. Unfortunately there is a danger that Islands in the Caribbean could sustain further flooding and Central America could see more landslides and deaths if it brushes their coastline or makes a landfall there.

When it comes to Hurricanes in the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico or along our Atlantic Seaboard, we are all neighbors and thus we are all effected by these ferocious storms and it does not appear they will be getting any less intense any time in the near future. Think on this.
