We often complain about the Hurricane Remnants delivering Torrential Rains or the huge storm, which are common to all areas of the Planet, including the United States. Yes Droughts are a big problem, as many who follow the recent US regional weather trends agree. Although we have seen in the last few months quite a bit of rain for instance Los Angeles and Las Vegas from that rotating storm off the Coast of California. Or the lingering rainstorms back to back in the New England States, still we are out pacing our surface fresh water supplies due to our population growth and needs for water. Regarding the Droughts, this might provide some thoughts:

Recently I discussed this with a retired engineer and brilliant scientist who is involved in weather modification device design and theory. He indicated that in his region of the word, Las Vegas, NV that; “The Southern Nevada Water Authority is flat lying to people about our water.”

My thoughts are indeed that I think the word is out, since he lives in a desert and last time I was there the growth was out of control, in fact everyone had lawns? Go figure. Since the Colorado River supplies Southern CA, Arizona and Southern NV, there is a huge problem. Soon even in an abundant snow pack year in Colorado it will not supply the needs of all that growth in those three states. You know,

That is a huge water need indeed. Conservation is a thought, smarter growth and some Desalination perhaps in Mexico where land is cheap or take Salt Water and do it in the Desert in AZ, maybe use some of the Military Base, Former El Toro or Camp Pendleton?

Something must be done on the water issue. It is known that Las Vegas, NV was considering bringing in water from the Arm Pit of the World; Battle Mountain, Nevada. Tucson AZ is going us use ground water treated water and use it again. We have issues across the nation really.

Indeed, something must be done to curb the catastrophic damage from the ever increasing activity during each consecutive years Tropical Hurricane Season, but at the same time the long term economic effects of droughts are far worse on our Nation and we ought to be looking there too, if we are to survive and thrive as a nation past the present period.
