Hurricane Wilma turned out to be one monster storm indeed. The amount of flooding in the Yucatan Peninsula and Western Cuba alone was immense and intense. In Florida the storm moved fast and furious as it came ashore just South of Naples Florida. One wind gust near there was clocked at 134 miles per hour, but generally the sustained winds once land fall was made were about 110 miles per hour. Never the less this is one hurricanr that we will not soon forget.

The 2005 Hurricane Season has been an incredible ride and it is not done yet as we have already started the Greek Alphabet with Tropical Storm Alpha, who joined Hurricane Wilma to make her a Super Storm and divert her path upward toward the Northeastern United

States to dump more water and trap the cold front from moving out of the area.

As Hurricane Wilma makes her last hoorah in the Northeast we wait again for Wilma and we now know there will be more named storms such as Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Zeta, Eta and maybe even Theta, Lota and Kappa. Some believe we may even see a few late hurricanra this year, as the Hurricane Season this year started two-weeks early so it could very well end two-weeks late bring us a December Hurricanr or two. Think on this, but do not fear, as it is almost over.
