Well things are certainly getting a little interesting in the Middle East with Iran’s leadership calling for a nuclear cloud over Israel. Meanwhile Iran continues to be a nation state funding international terrorist groups such as Hamas and Hezbolla. Will Iran push too far and lose favor with its perceived allies? China reprimanded the General who said if the United States defends Taiwan from re-unification that China would retaliate with nuclear weapons against American Cities. The General received a formal demerit. It seems that China wants to distance them selves from any United States hit list and I believe EXTREMELY wise to do so.
If Iran continues to manufacture nuclear weapons and threatens its neighbors and knowing of the hatred of Islam of Jews in general all such comments and threats need to be taken seriously. Indeed the recent comments of Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad recently were quite telling in one of his televised speeches.
He called the Nazi murder of six million Jews a fabrication and claimed it a complete façade and an attempt by Jews to turn the world to their favor. Do not be surprised to see a show down in 2006. In fact Wall Street is already adjusting and so are the oil futures with an upward bias. We will see a lot on this issues until Spring and then perhaps we shall all know the fate of the Middle East, will their be peace or a quikening towards WWIII.
