Many say that there are many fine folks in government and that our civil servants serve us well. These same people say that politicians are liars and are quite evil. No matter how you personally feel about it, this is what people say. Always complaining about the politicians.

Yet on further review if we accept the premise that “all politicians are bad” for instance then they instantly become a known quantity. That is to say that Politicians are a known factor and so at least you know that. And judging by some of what we have seen and heard over the years; many politicians obviously cannot be trusted. But if this is true, then the system is at fault also, as it denies the innate characteristics of the species and the issues with man himself. Thus people who should not be trusted get into office for being the best liars. Again making no judgment as to the original premise that; “all politicians are bad.” So if we own our government, then whose fault would this be? Ours, right? So, does that mean we are all evil for allowing such a system to rule us?

On the Civil Servants side we are told that these are the fine folks in government helping our civilization. Civil Servants are good people? What planet are you living on? Pushing paper mountains in front of progress is not a good thing and therefore those who do that are inherently the opposite of what good is. I mean that is what they do? Now before you say I do not know what I am talking about let me tell you.

I have done business in 110 cities, 23 states and four countries. I have met with people from city councils, planning commission, code enforcement, building and safety, county commissioners, tax assessors, fire departments, environmental health agencies, flood control, human services, state contractors boards, automotive consumer divisions, department of motor vehicles, NPDES departments, water quality control boards, labor boards, FAA, FTC, EPA, OSHA, FCC, DOT and court systems at all levels due to over regulation, lawsuits and lawyers.

Now then, I have been around the block and around and around and around. I have been accosted by mountains of paperwork and clerks, I have battled bureaucracy and fought for attention while civil servants stood in front of coffee machines, only to come back and tell me it was 5 pm and time for them to go home.

Let me tell you, next time you complain about a politician, may I suggest you think about the real issues like the blob of bureaucracy. It was there long before these current politicians. It is utter non-sense for an entrepreneur in the greatest nation in the World who has built everything you see, everywhere you go to have their time wasted. Yes wasted by bureaucrats who do not give a hoot if you live or die, only that they have their little forms filled out, the ones no one ever looks at, the forms which sit in a file, until some lawyer asks for them so they can file a frivolous lawsuit, the same forms that you cannot get a copy of when you need them.

You wonder why I am retired at 40 years old? I got mine from hard work and I quit. You see it is not right for some jack stick bureaucrat at any level of government who works slower than a snail to impede the forward progression of those who work their asses off to feed the world. Anyone who says that those fine folks in government are doing their job is on drugs. You show me one thing that our blob of bureaucracy does efficiently; name one thing.

You see I have seen it all, met with these people, talked with them, tried to help facilitate things and expedite paperwork to open a location, so we could provide jobs, get our business going and pay into the system. Do not tell me these civil servants are gods gift to the world. Sure there are some good folks who work in government, but those are exception to the rule, because that system does not reward efficiency, it punishes it. So, don’t tell me what you think, because I know. I have been there. I have seen it with my own eyes, so screw your political correctness. These agencies at all levels are a sham against America and will be the death of us, if we let this continue. We must cut the waste in government. Think on this in 2006.
