Politics article : No Tax on the Internet and No Tax in Space

News and Society > Politics > No Tax on the Internet and No Tax in Space

Well private space flight is now becoming an industry and what an industry it is? It seems it has all sorts of great PR type headlines such as; “New Industry is out of this World!” Or Burt Rutan’s slogan; “SpaceShip One, NASA Zero!” But already we have the Federal Aviation Administration hot on the trail trying to come up with regulations to force upon an industry which has not even gotten off the ground; well maybe a few times. Isn’t that just like the morons running the bureaucracy? Likewise politicians are already looking at it from a tax revenue standpoint? Sounds a lot like the British and their Tea Tax, no wonder we thru it in the water?

Commerce done in space should not be taxed; it must remain a tax free zone. It takes place in space? The Solar system is a big place; are we so arrogant to think that we control the whole of space too? There should be

no taxation without representation. I say if the taxman cometh, he can get his own ass up there to collect on the transaction in space.

We cannot trust politicians to come after free markets for tax revenue to make up for their dishonesty or incompetence in spending billions on pet project garbage. We must send a message to Washington that Space is a no-tax zone. Just like the Internet in the virtual space. And God help us all when we figure out dimensional travel as the government will have their virtual hands in that region as well. It seems where ever you go and what ever you do, there is some bureaucrat who wants to stick his have up your rear end for another tax? Keep your hands off my space. Thanks and think on that!
