Many are asking why on Earth is the most progressive nation in the world not signing the Kyoto Treaty? Doesn’t the United States care about extreme weather events, dying rain forests, rising ocean waters or breathable air? After all the United States us 300 million people in it and is the third most populated Nation on Earth. It is the most powerful and richest nation as well. Indeed it has some incredibly expensive real estate which is very close to its coastlines and stands the most to lose if Global Warming does anything close to what the doom and gloom predictionists are theorizing.

Yet on closer review of the Climate Changes and Earth Cycles and looking at all the exemptions for other nations one could see the United States has a point. For instance in the Kyoto Treaty China would be exempt, even though our trade deficits are being pummeled due to the cheaper imported Chinese goods and products. Some economists say; “China exempt?” Further stating that the Kyoto Treaty is an Industrial Death sentence to first world human civilizations and many analysts say; “No leader of any nation should willy nilly accept such until guarantees exist that all nations will comply, including China and all others.”

If the United States did sign the Kyoto Treaty or a version of it, then the US would need assurances that the UN will not be so weak this time, as they have in the past enforcing such resolutions. Right now the United States has trade deficits, 60,000 layoffs with Ford and GM and has many regions in the US with 17% plus employment in manufacturing sector. Many critics of the Kyoto Treaty say; “Let's get real China is a eco-disaster all the way around; polluted water, air, ocean coastline dead zones out 100’s of miles.” These same critics of the Kyoto Treaty say that; “This typical Canadian media anti-American bias needs to stop” and further point to the anti-American Leadership comments on popping up on Blogs and Internet forums on the world wide web and in Newspapers around the World.

What do you think of the Kyoto Treaty and the devastation it could cause to world markets, world economies and the United State’s economic vitality, which right now is currently holding up the rest of the world as the US middle class is buying all their products? Think on this.
