The 2005 Tropical Season had not even ended and already top meteorologists were predicting an active 2006 Hurricane Season with up to 8 Hurricanes and 18 named storms. Many were quick to point out that was the first upgraded prediction of 2005 after the first prediction had been literally blown away with 13 named storms a month before the half way point.

The 2005 Tropical Storm Season started two-weeks early and lasted one week late, thus adding three-weeks of wicked weather to the already treacherous Hurricane Season. For all intent and purposes there are no meteorologists who say that the 2006 Hurricane Season will be a weak one, all agree that the Strong Hurricane Trend Continues into 2006.

Of course for those holding real estate along the Gulf Coast or those insurance companies insuring them or even the new FEMA Director, this is not good news. 2004 was a wicked season as well, but 2005 broker all the records. Most named Storms, Most Hurricanes, three of the top six most powerful Hurricanes ever recorded in the Atlantic Hurricane History and now they tell us we must endure one more year, some are saying only two-more decades of this level of Hurricane Activity.

One thing is for certain whether this Hurricane matches that of the 2004 Hurricane Season or surpasses that of 2005 or falls somewhere in the middle as predicted; it will not be a walk in the park by any means. Think on this.
