Guys, let's talk seriously for a second. Have you ever gone into a bar with some of your friends after they have dressed you up and schooled you in the ways of the 'playa' only to have every woman in that bar look at you like you have the plague? Well I'm about to tell you why they give you the stink eye all night rather than fall head over heels for you. Remember all that talk about a woman's intuition? Well it's not just talk. She can smell a fake from the next town over! On the flip side, I can't even explain to you how attractive a genuine man is… trust me, there's something about a guy who will be himself regardless what others think that is so sexy it'll make a woman melt every time. So whenever you have the choice of playing the part of the 'playa' or 'pimp' or just being yourself, choose yourself every time. Trust me, it pays off!
Another place where men go wrong is their material possessions. Sure, you're going to get big kudos if you put your best foot forward (you know, showing off your best traits! Be it a great smile or a great sense of fashion) but what you shouldn't do is show off the money. Get this, the more you flash that money, and try and show it off, the more of the most undesirable women you're going to run into. You know what kind of women I'm talking about…Gold Diggers. Remember, showing off your beautiful smile can hook you the woman of your dreams. But flashing the cash (a.k.a. showing off your material possessions) will only hook you Gold Diggers.
Good grooming is a must. I don't care who you are, women won't stick around you for any length of time if you smell like unwashed crotch. And let's not get me started on the teeth issue. You can be freaking Antonio Banderas and if your teeth are yellowed and your breath smells like death, then I'm out of there. I'm sure the women
are backing me on this one. COME ON GUYS! At the very least make sure you've showered, your hair is combed, you have on some nice smelling deodorant and your teeth are brushed.
Everyone loves a guy that makes you laugh. The only problem with this is that you have to judge the boundaries of the woman you're talking to. For example, some women might like the fact that you tell dirty jokes, but I can promise you that for others this is a major turn off. Stick with clean, safe jokes until you know what her limits are. Nothing foul, racist, and please don't talk about your dangly bits…it's not as attractive as you think.
Everyone loves someone who's intelligent. However, everyone hates someone that flings their intelligence in other people's face. It's a real turn-off! I once dated a guy that became so angry with my childhood best friend over saying that she could smell caffeine. He promptly informed her that it was impossible as caffeine is odorless, tasteless and colorless. Ouch! It was bad enough to make her cry!
Deep interesting conversation will have women begging to be yours forever. It doesn't matter what you look like if you can hold a wonderful conversation with her. Everything else seems to melt away when you talk about something that both of you are passionate about. Don't just pretend to listen to her as she talks. Look her in the eyes and let her know that you are really into the conversation! Give your input on what she's saying, without just a 'yeah' or 'okay'. Conversations like that are the beginnings of a beautiful relationship!
Men, the one really important thing to remember is to play on your best qualities while down-playing your most unattractive aspects. Show the woman you're interested in why she should want to date you! But don't be fake, and don't pretend to be interested in what she has to say if you really aren't. Just be yourself! There's nothing more attractive than a guy who's really interested and is 100% himself.
