Before trance pick a special moment (or have your subject pick one) when you felt really proud of yourself or someone made you feel special and confident. Choose a time that has a good degree of emotional meaning. Below is the hypnotic suggestions to give once the subject has been placed in trance.

TRANCE Suggestion:

Let your subconscious mind provide you now with a memory of a time when you felt really good about yourself – perhaps you had accomplished something you were proud of or maybe you were being complimented for your effort. The important thing to know now, while in this deeply relaxed sleepy state of being, is not the picture that you now see but the feelings that this memory is now generating within you.

And when you have that memory I want you to expand upon it – see the situation that you are in, where you are. Who are you with? Exactly what are you doing here and why are you doing it. SEE what you saw. HEAR what you heard. And FEEL what you felt. What are the smells that you can notice? Are you holding anything? Just allow the picture of that memory to resurface and watch it like a movie on a cinema screen.

Now focus on the feelings that are present. Really get into the mind of that character on the screen. How did you feel inside when you were living in that picture? Evoke all these positive emotions and see that other you totally enjoying those feelings and that situation.

Now make the picture BRIGHTER, LOUDER and more COLOURFUL. And MORE and MORE and MORE. [Say enthusiastically] Yes that’s it now make your feelings

stronger, brighter and even more pleasurable.

Now.... step into that picture and enter that visual image of yourself and feel all those good feelings. As you allow those feelings to grow even stronger and even brighter begin to press together your thumb and middle finger of your right hand. Now.... take a deep breathe while mentally saying to yourself “Confidence”.

Because in future, whenever you take in a really long, deep breath, press together the thumb and the middle finger of your right hand and say mentally to yourself “Confidence”, you are going to feel those good, strong, bright, energetic confident feelings. Because these good, strong, confident feelings are becoming more and more a part of you and you are becoming that stronger, brighter more confident person with every passing day.

And I want your subconscious mind to remind you, that anytime you want to feel even more confident, all you need to do is to breathe in a long, deep breath, press together the thumb and the middle finger of your right hand and mentally say the word “Confidence”, and you will feel all those good, strong, confident feelings filling your being. You will feel truly wonderful, calmer, more relaxed, and much more confident than you ever have before.
