Low self worth is felt by many and is associated with feeling sad, unimportant, depressed, a sinking feeling, inadequate, useless, diminished, de-energized, unmotivated, insecure, unlovable, unworthy, guilty, shame, self loathing, self hate, and so on.

Living in such a state often elicits decisions and behaviors that are self sabotaging or self harming. These include such things as not looking after ones health, engaging or continuing in unhealthy relationships, making poor choices, drug, alcohol, sexual and other addictions, self harm behaviors and outright suicidal behaviors.

All of this only serves to deepen the trough of one's self worth thus leading to a vicious negative vortex that literally swallows up a person's life.

Is there a way out of all of this? In order to answer this I wish to outline what I feel is at the root of the problem.

In a recent article entitled "The Source of All Ethical Values" I make the case that our ethical values are not only hardwired in each of us but that they are what essentially make us what we are, human!

Such ethical values also correspond to the experience of what I call the Self. This is the "feeling you". The you that feels what your every thought and decision feels like to you. These feelings resound deep within you and attempt to let you know what is and is not good for you in every thought, every decision, in every behavior in every moment.

It is when you, for whatever reason, you choose to ignore or turn your back on this deep emotional intelligence that you are not only devaluing it you are devaluing your Self. To devalue one's self means to not give it any sense of worth. What follows then are all of the feelings that go with what I described above i.e. feelings associated with low self worth.

So what is it that would cause anyone to "choose" to devalue something that is always acting in their best interests and that wishes to bring them happiness, joy and fulfillment in life?

Well the only way this can happen is if you allow yourself to "believe" that something is good for you when in fact it is not. I highlighted the word "believe" because that is the crux of the problem. In other words it comes down to putting one's learned "beliefs" ahead of one's emotional wisdom.

By doing so you automatically devalue not only your emotional wisdom but more importantly your Self. Hence your problems with self worth.

If you'd like a way out of this negative cycle then kindly visit the web link below where I have a special audio message waiting for you.
