Did you ever hear about that trial of flashing subconscious messages on a cinema screen that reportedly improved the sale of coke and popcorn without the viewers made aware?

Or maybe you’ve heard about songs where there is a message that can be transmitted to the subconscious mind without the listener actually being ‘consciously’ aware of it?

The latter popular fact (or fiction) hints at paranoia but nether the less open up the concept of subconscious influencing for good or for bad. There are hundreds of things in the world today that contain influential subliminal messages. Whether they be in a natural form occurring in our upbringing or immediate environment or whether they be synthetic or custom made. Examples of synthetic attempts to subliminally (to do with the subconscious) convey messages can be found in music, television, radio, internet advertising, hypnosis and forms of meditation. Of course if intentionally used in the media it would be unsettling seeing as we are at the mercy of commercial interests. But what if we could subliminally alter ourselves in ways that we want to improve and remove weaknesses?

I’m talking about subliminal messages helping us with things such as giving up smoking or being more confident. In basic terms, a subliminal message is aimed at altering a persons’ behavior, whether it a subtle or drastic change, and you can easily control the messages sent to your subconscious mind by simply being aware of the subliminal messages and controlling them to your advantage.

In the past audio tapes have been sold with the purpose of doing just this. Only they would be subliminally stimulating material to do with popular goals people try to achieve such as weight loss, public speaking, So there wasn’t really much latitude to cater for people’s unique individual goals.

Then what methods are there to create subliminal stimulus towards what each individual wants to achieve? Well the traditional places used to hypnosis and therapy sessions, and other forms of self improvement provided in private consultation. But the expenses that go with this can limit it’s viability.

But then again why does it matter to be able to custom make messages and not tap into the available library of problem fixers and motivation starters found in tapes, CD’s and books. The answer lies in the fact that we all have different habits, different reasons why we fear success and respond differently to different words and visual stimulus.

Enter subliminal software into the frame, now that computers are as common a household appliance as the television. Most

subliminal software programs allow you to input what you want to tell you subconscious in your own words(i.e. words that you’’ easily digest and understand. Reprogramming your mind to have the belief and optimism embedded within, eradicate the habit you’re trying to overcome and choosing the way you want your body and determination to respond to a particular object, activity or event.

It’s indeed something to get curious and excited about, and the makers of this subliminal software claim that what they offer allows you to do just that. A company subliminalpc.com promote a software product that you download called Subliminal PC. They suggest through the use of their software users are helped to improve confidence, lose weight, drop bad habits, increase positive thinking, reverse depression, jealousy, intimidation etc… Subliminal PC is not the only software of its kind out there with Brain Bullet being another example.

Perhaps the real benefit of this kind of product is you have nothing to lose seeing as it requires no extra commitment in time from the user. You literally do nothing extra and just use the PC how you normally would with the program running in the background while you’re ‘dramatically improving the way you live for the better’. Most packages on the web can be purchased at minimal cost and there isn’t much to lose now that dedicated time is taken out of the equation.

When searching for this type of product, you need to be fully aware of your budget – generally speaking, you can find the best products for around the forty to fifty dollar mark. Any more and you could be spending more than you need to – and possible more than you can afford; any less, and the quality of this mind-changing product could be questionable.

Of course a conscious effort should be made to research the sciences and technologies promoted when purchasing any product of such a nature. But it just goes to show that if we recognize that our attitude towards success and failure stems from years of subconscious altering experiences and stimulus, the answer to reaching our goals would start with training our subconscious in a positive way.

Based in the United Kingdom and still a young writer at 26 years old, Louisa Taberner Croft has been completing articles very recently as a part-time interest, although plans on pursuing her interest further as her creative and factual writing styles develop and become more established.
