The powerful art of reframing

Reframing is a tool that can alter the pressure we put on ourselves.

Reframing means exactly what it sounds like - to put a different frame on a situation. Have you noticed how different a painting or picture can look depending on the frame we put around it? The wrong frame can ruin a painting while the right frame can please the eye and highlight details you had not noticed before.

The lost art of human hibernation

What with email and cell phones we have made ourselves nearly constantly available. This keeps us "on all the time."

When animals don't hibernate as they need to, they become anxious, cranky and sluggish. Sound like

anyone you know?

The never ending search for humor

Humor is one of the most magical gifts we have for mastering stress. In my favorite TV sitcom M*A*S*H humor is used to cope with horrendous situations.

Here is the bottom line: If you can laugh at it and/or laugh during it, you can handle it.
