The basic principal of Feng Shui is based on the "cosmic dragon's breath" - which is good energy (Sheng Chi) that is said to bring you happiness and luck. The practice of Feng Shui is all about directing the flow and "pooling" the flow of that chi and avoiding Shar Chi - which is also known as the "killing breath." The way we direct and pool the flow of Chi is by balancing the elements in each sector of our homes.

The Celestial Dragon is considered the ultimate symbol of good fortune. When you have a Celestial Dragon in your home or office, it is believed that you will be blessed with the cosmic dragon's breath. Most any successful business in China will have a dragon in it. The dragon is considered "All Powerful" and is said to bring about wealth, prosperity, power, protection, great success, good luck and abundance. If you have a dragon that is holding or protecting a round object, that is said to be the Pearl of Life and symbolizes wisdom and great achievement.

While it can be placed anywhere except a bathroom or bedroom, having a dragon in the East corner of your home, office or desk will bring about the greatest Feng Shui benefits. You can use several methods of displaying a dragon.

* A picture of a Celestial Dragon in a wooden frame

* A ceramic, resin, crystal or wood statue or figurine - do not use gold or other metals as they destroy the wood element of the East.

* You can use a twining plant set in a winding manner - up and down as the dragon's body flows

* Display ceramic bowls, plates, teacups or art objects with the dragon image on it

In Chinese mythology the Dragon is the predestined partner of the Phoenix, which is Yin energy which compliments the Dragon's Yang energy. The Dragon and the Phoenix are the perfect partners - and are the ultimate symbol of everlasting love. Thus, if you display a dragon and a phoenix in your Relationship Sector, it is said to put that spark back into your romance.

According to the Chinese, the Dragon's Cosmic Breath not only applies to your home, office, and outside your home, but it also applies to your physical body. Acupressure and acupuncture are two methods of directing the chi that is running through the meridian lines in your body. The specific points used in these two practices actually have different skin frequencies to allow activation and get the chi moving gently so as to enhance areas of your body. Shar Chi tends to clog up and turn sour in our bodies adding to health problems and disease.
