Rudrakshas (Elaco Carpus seeds) are power beads.
It is a common practice in India to wear a rudraksha mala or garland or necklace of rudrakshas.
Wearing rudraksha controls heart beat and ensures a positive effect on blood pressure, stress, anxiety, depression, palpitations and lack of concentration.
The best quality rudraksha is that variety that is divided segment wise like wedges of an orange. These wedges are called as faces. Rrudrakshas are available from single face to twenty one faces.
The rudraksha seeds are from a tree named rudraksha (Elaco carpus) tree. Good quality rudraksha beads can be obtained from Nepal, India, Tibet, Indonesia, Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
The lighter the rudraksha, the more fruitful it is. That which has a natural hole from end to end is the most excellent one and that which is bored through by human effort is the middling one.

Due to their dielectric and magnetic properties the rudraksha beads initiate and effect positive change in the bio electrical system of the human body in a life supporting manner. As a result of this change in the electrical makeup of our body, positive change is also initiated in our bio chemical system. As bioelectrical and biochemical actions and reactions organize in the body at higher levels of interaction another change is then initiated in our bio mechanical system and the sacred trinity of body systems are in union with one another. Thus rudraksha, by virtue of its electrical and magnetic properties beneficially affect our central nervous system, autonomic, sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems and various other organ systems in toto.

A rudraksha of a single face bestows worldly pleasures and salvation. Very rarely one gets this single faced bead.
A rudraksha with two faces bestows the fulfillment of all desires. This quickly makes one to control his mind.
A Rudraksha with three faces always bestows means of enjoyment. As a result of its power all lores become firmly established.
A Rudraksha with four faces instantaneously bestows the four aims of life namely, virtuous life, wealth, sexual enjoyments and salvation. It also represents Brahma the lord of creation. By wearing this, designers, engineers, interior decorators and artists can improve their power of creativity.
A Rudraksha with five faces bestows salvation and all desired objects. Normally ninety per cent of the rudrakshas available in the market are five faced.
A Rudraksha with six faces absolves all sins. This bestows health and wealth.
A Rudraksha with seven faces bestows wealth and wisdom. Even a poor man becomes a great lord.
A Rudraksha with eight faces bestows longevity. Man who wears it lives the full span of life.
A Rudraksha with nine faces increases the energy.
A Rudraksha with ten faces removes ill luck, poverty.
The scriptures and Upanishads explain the power of the rudraksha beads.
By this ancient wisdom of India one can improve his/her success quotient.
