Our journey to success has always ups and downs. Success comes over night only after you have done enough work in the previous nights :). It comes after you persistently and consistently go after it. I would like to let you know of “3 bad guys” who will definitely be your obstacles preventing you from getting there.
Lets take a look at them.
Fear: Every time I decide to do something new, this is first one who tries to put me off and pull me down. Fear keeps you away from success. Some fears are brought by our own experiences, someone tells you something, you watch something yourselves or watch in the TV, you read about it in the papers. I know sometime when I decide to do something new and take risks. I can’t sleep. Fear will tell anything to keep you away from even trying. Everyone has fear. I guess even the most successful person would have had fear before getting to the top. They work through it rather than give up. You can kill fear by Persistence. As it is said “Do the thing you fear and death of fear is certain”. Fear is one of the many enemies lying inside you and if unchecked it will destroy your lives. You got to win over your fear to be successful.
Crowd Mentality : When I talk about doing something to my colleagues. The first thing that comes out of their mouth is “Are you gone nuts?” You know your relative who calls you a dreamer – day dreamer. They believe they know you. They want you to do what is normal. They are loud and that's why they are called the crowd. They are so determined in letting you
know that they expect you to do things their way or something what you are doing is just not right. Hello, nobody ever got successful doing what the crowd does. You got to be different. You got to think without fear and think different. The crowd is not different, they are just average or even lower, that’s why they are the crowd. They will be screaming ,” Don’t do this. Don’t do that. Be like us. Join us”. You have to separate yourself from the crowd and march towards your way to success.
Doubt: I have experienced this n number of times. Even, when I overcome other factors and success eludes for a long time I start doubting. Success usually take a while. As I told above, it is not something which comes overnight. In your journey to success after some time, you will begin to doubt. “Am I dreaming too big?” "Is this possible?" “Did I take a dumb stupid risk?” “Should I just call it quits and get back to what I was doing?” “Should I do something what the crowd tells and do something safe?”. Hold on! Have no more doubts. This is time when you need to keep going. Stick with what you have decided. Believe in yourself. Don’t and never give up. Overcome your doubt and the doubts of others. Don’t let the crowd have their way. Rest assured, success will come.
These are some of the enemies and you need to build courage and fight against. There may be even more which you might be experiencing at this time. Your time has come. There’s someone sitting out there with the devilish grins. He is thinking you can’t do it. Just go ahead and do. Win.
