Are you a superachiever? Do you visualize the end-result with a passion, plan ahead and take action to reach your goals? Superachievers believe in themselves and have an uncanny ability to finish what they start. They are ordinary people with extraordinary skills that accomplish their dreams. While other people are talking about their goals superachievers are moving closer to achieving their dreams.

There are 6 steps they use that make their ventures a success.

  1. They VISUALIZE their goals and know what they want.
  2. They have a PASSION to achieve their goals.
  3. They set a COURSE OF ACTION to follow.
  4. No OBSTACLES are allowed to get in the way of their dreams.
  5. They see failure as a LEARNING experience.
  6. They NEVER GIVE UP.

1. Visualize: Superachievers actually see their goals. They see the end result as if it has already been accomplished. That is what keeps them going. They can visualize the house and car they want right down to the smallest details. They know what their business needs are and can picture them in their mind. They focus on these details—one step at a time—on a daily basis. Olympic ice skating champions tell us that they can visualize their whole program and believe that they will have a flawless program even before they start skating it.

2. Passion: Superachievers’ enthusiasm keeps them going. They believe in themselves. They believe they can do it. Their Motivating Factor is passion -- a deep yearning inside them is the driving force that keeps them going. This driving force is sustained because they love what they are doing. With passion superachievers start new businesses even though they may not know much about starting a business. They know with a commitment and a plan they can do it.

3. Course of Action: This is their plan of action—their goal setting device. They know that they will achieve their goals with a course of action. That means developing and writing down their goals and the tasks to achieve them.

4. Learning Experience: Superachievers are not stopped by failure. The see it as a learning experience. Business failure. Divorce. Rejection. Superachievers will learn from their disappointments, move on, and start again until they

succeed.

5. Never Give Up: This is the key to their success. They never give up. They are relentless achievers. They find ways to keep on going no matter what.

6. Practice superachiever habits everyday: You need to know your goals inside out. Write down your goals, break them into small tasks and work on at least one task a day. For example, a writing goal could be: “I will finish writing my book in 90 days.” Your book has 10 chapters, plus an Introduction and some items at the end. Count this as 12 parts to your book. That’s one part per week. In 12 weeks (90 days) you could have your first draft done. Then you work back to what amount of writing you will do each day.

Achieving your goals may require breaking old patterns and keeping to your schedule. Get yourself a Writing Buddy to help you stay on schedule. Once a week the two of you can share where you are and how you are doing. You will motivate each other to finish. Preparing the plan takes time. Yet once you complete it, it usually only requires minor adjustments as you add and delete tasks during the course of the goal.

Imagine how elated you will feel when you check off your list of tasks and see that you are getting closer and closer to accomplishing your goal. It’s a great feeling to be a superachiever and just get it done.
