"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
To succeed in anything, let's face it, it takes years of dedication and hard work! An honest-hearted and hard-working person is not immune to disrespect, betrayals, and slander. In spite of these unnecessary evils, to succeed, we put our *blinders* on (as horses)
and continue on our paths.
The art of finding joy in life is of key importance, isn't it? Without joy and appreciation for the good around us, life would be unbearable.
In spite of my critics, I focus on my spirituality and my duties at hand. I, like millions of others, want to be productive and true to myself. When others try to strip me of my dignity with verbal abuse, I try to get it behind me as quickly as I can.
My motto is simple: If a person is willing to treat me with the same respect as they wish to be treated themselves, I'll engage in communication. Otherwise, why let somebody bury me alive?
