Success article : Whos Up For A Challenge?

Self Improvement > Success > Whos Up For A Challenge?

Depending on the person, challenges can either make or break a person. On one hand, challenges possess the power to increase one’s skills and knowledge, their motivation, faith and character. It also has the ability to produce hope and endurance. These are all great achievements that can propel us towards success. On the opposite end of achievement, however lie disappointment, discouragement, and defeat.

Unfortunately, the latter is where most of us are. It seems puzzling to me why we are more apt to accept challenges in which we already have a built up confidence in, while quickly “denying” or “shying away from” those that seem to, well, present too much of a challenge for us.

If we are to grow towards success, the ones we shy away from are the types we should actually be running to. But because we don’t, we stay in the habit of having strong starts towards a desire or goal with weak finishes, that diminish our drive to succeed.

These are bad habits that we MUST be able to overcome. Bad habits and work ethics are overcome

by accepting the challenge to persist even when we don’t feel like it. They’re overcome by taking chances on ourselves and in what we really believe in.

Overcoming these bad habits and work ethics however is only half of the battle towards success. The other half is accepting the challenge to create good habits and work ethics. Again, persistence is the key.

A Challenge To Succeed

By accepting a sound challenge (that is one that is beneficial), a person:

·Can overcome their fears (of rejection, ridicule, failure or success),

·Can bring out the best in themselves and the best in others,

·Is making a decision to think about future consequences for today’s action (or lack of action).

Do you really want to know why some people succeed in what they do while many fail?

Through a life of overcoming un-godly odds, Darryl R. Robinson is on a mission to inspire and provoke those who have a fear of accomplishing the seemingly impossible, and take a stand to live out their life with purpose. He can be reached by visiting his website at http://www.wskgroup.com
